| In the spring of 2003, Jon and Lori Rocker thought it would be fun to have a small party on their farm where friends and family could spend a day listening to live music and picnicking on the hillside. The idea was so well received that they ended up with 150 guests, all of whom brought blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets, spread out across the field and enjoyed some traditional bluegrass music well into the evening. | |||

The event was called Livestock - an intentional reference to the historic music festival joined with the type of animals who reside on the farm. The farm is home to rescued sheep, several pet goats and two retired horses. |

A few years later, Livestock has become much more than a party. Combining the family's love of music and animals, Livestock now exists to raise money for non-profit animal welfare organizations by planning, promoting and organizing music related fundraising events.

Most recently, Livestock has partnered with Out of the Box Management (Kara Bilof) to work together to produce and promote music related events and concerts to benefit grassroots nonprofit organizations committed to environmental issues, animal welfare and children's concerns. | ||||
